    3. Tyler Brewster, subject, was born in Bridgewater township, son of Eldad and Hannah (Tyler) Brewster. His father was born in River Head, LI in 1779, he was one of the earliest settlers of Bridgewater twp. Sus. Co. James Brewster, grandfather, was of English acestory, and settled with his wife, Anna (Foster) near River Head, L.I> He was a shoemake by trade, moved to Bridgewater twp., in 1802, served in the War of 1812, he died at aged 92, in Wysox, PA. Their children; Abigail who married David Verguson, of Wyson, and reared a large family; Daniel who also was in the War of 1812, he died at Wells Hollow, Bradford County, aged 94; ELDAD. Eldad Brewster ( died 1832), married ( 1814) Hannah Tyler ( died 1881), who was born in Windham, VT., in 1797, the d/o Deacon Moses Tyler, who settled in Bridgewater, in 1808. Children; Tyler; Lucena born 1816, married Samuel Sherer of Monrose County; Horace; Daniel; Warren; Andrew Jackson; Sarah, the wife of "Salmon" Hempstead of NY; Moses C,; Anna Maria, the wife of Ansel Stearns. Tyler Brewster, married in Harford township, Jan. 6, 1841 to Lydia Marie Lyon, who was born in that township, Nov. 25, 1818, a d/o Samuel and Elizabeth (Read). Samuel Lyon was born in Royalston, MA, Dec. 29, 1782, a son of David Lyon who was musician in the British army in 1758. Samuel Lyon married May 24, 1814 at Royalston, MA., to Eliz. Read, who was born May 2, 1791, and in 1818 migrated to PA/ Best Wishes, Geri
