Hi family researchers, Don't forget to visit the US Gen Web's Free On-Line Census and see if any of your counties are included in the growing list: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/cen_img.htm Remember the Gen Web original plan was to make genealogy sources free and easily available. I find it questionable as to why this important site is often overlooked and forgotten on genealogy sites - no doubt due the fact that Ancestry.com owns Rootsweb & charges for the same service. And if you belong with a local genealogy society, encourage them to donate some of their treasury to this worthy cause rather than publishing books. This avenue is less expensive and helps a wider area of researchers. And those broadband Internet connections load these census images immediately. Julia
