(Van Horn) Holcomb Zachariah, Leidy, Chalfont, was born in Mtg. County, in 1814, His great-grandfather came for Germany. Jacob, the son of this early settler, married a ______Scholl and had 5 sons and 4 daughters. John their oldest son, married a Groff. The fathe (Jacob) married 2nd to the widow of Jacob Gearhart. Leidy was married in 1835 to Catharine, the d/o Philip Gable of Montgomery county, they had 5 children; Isaiah, Jeremiah, Amanda, who married ____Doughty of Hartsville, Bucks County, Mary and Emma. Van Buskirk, founder of the family in this county was Laurens Andriessen Van Buskirk, who came from Holstein, Denmark, in 1655, Laurens Van Buskirk, 2nd son of Laurens, came to Bucks County from Bergen County, NJ, bought land in Hilltown township in 1707, Jacob, the grea-grandfather of Jacob (born 1816) was married in 17277 and the father of 5 children. Aaron Van Buskirk, native of Bucks, settled in Monroe County, and married Susan Wagner, and they had 12 children, Samuel, Jesse, Andrew, Jacob, Mary ,Ann, (named) The descendants of Jesse are Aaron B., Emeline who married Isaac Marsh and Rachel who married John Marsh.
