Hi Linda, I, too, learned some awful news this past month, and especially just the other day. I had a tumor removed from my foot just before Christmas, and it was found to be cancerous. On Thursday, my doctors informed me that the entire foot (except the heel) is cancerous and must go. My surgery is scheduled for February 9, and my thoughts are now that I wish it were even sooner. Life and death are closely related, just at opposite ends of the spectrum. The unknown, and the feelings of loss, when someone dies is what is so disconcerting. However, with faith we must accept that death comes to all of us, and we need not fear the unknown. Yes, the loss of our loved ones leaves a mighty big hole, and often all those things you never thought to say or ask come back to haunt us. Your thoughts expressed in your email were precious. I hope you keep your spirits up, and know that you had a beautiful relationship with your brother. He would want you to carry on with the work of love you both shared.
