Vicki, Good heavens it is a small world I was born and raised in Ohio my sons were born in MI and my oldest lives in Omaha, NE. It has been a long time since I have done anything with the Pownell/Pownall's but with what I have that Abigail and my line connection was her brother George Jr. the first Pownall born in America. The name Amanda seems like a light bulb should go off in my head.............who were his grandparents? My great grandparents were Robert D. and Susan Catherine Click Pownell. Robert s/o John Isaac and Elizabeth Sarah Martin Pownell was born in Romney, Hampshire Co. VA and my grandma Sarah Elizabeth b. 1876 was also born there. Elizabeth Sarah was John's second marriage I have a family picture taken I believe in OK that I believe are Pownell's but there is no names on the back of the picture. I have a lot of info from various sources and one was especially helpful as she untangled the Pownall/Pownell's for me.
