It gives me hope that the SHAWs that were mentioned--John, Jonathan, Sarah and Mary, and Jonathan Jr--might be related to my Hugh SHAW, who may have married Margery HOUGH in Bucks Co, in 1755. He was father of Joseph SHAW who served in the Revolution and moved afterward to Wake Co, NC. Both Hugh and Joseph are found in records there, but I have been unable to determine Hugh's parentage. Joseph's pension records establish that he came from Bucks Co.
