Yes that is true, there are more unplanned meetings in the East than here in the midwest. There are a few here but many have a pastor and a planned meeting with Quiet Worships built in as well. I have not attended a meeting that was unplanned as of yet, but maybe someday in my travels I will. Some of the bigger meetings here have two worship services, one unplanned before First Day School and then a planned meeting. My meeting is small but in within the IYM it is concidered one of the large to medium ones in attandance and membership. Looking at the map, I think Moorestown is the closest to the one Ann is looking for. So it probably is a part of the PYM. I am sure that someone at Moorestown will be able to give Ann a push in the right direction. Maybe all of NJ, but I’m not sure. I was raised sort of Quaker and remember going to a youth group weekend at Moorestown so I’m sure they are PYM. I no longer live in the PA/NJ area. The main PYM meeting (huge!) is in Philadelphia at 5th and Arch Street. If you contact them I’m sure they can point you in the right direction. Look for records at Haverford and Swarthmore colleges near Philadelphia. Google them for the exact links, but they have LOTS of Quaker records. You can send them a short query for something like $30 and they will do a lookup for you if you are out of area. No pastors in PYM. You would reach people who live at the meetings, like a caretaker, during the week.
