    1. Re: [PABUCKS] Marriage records in Bucks County
    2. Thee are three volumes of marriages from the Intelligencer from 1804 to 1860. I checked them all. I checked under the name of Buck and did not find Henry or Charles Bucks happens to be a Nockamixon Township name as in Bucksville. Checked under Mary A. MacClain and no spellings of any name Mac, all under Mc one McClain, James and Phebe M. Radcliff, both of Middletown Twp 12-8-1842 Nancy http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~buckscounty/ -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Tue, 13 Feb 2007 5:38 PM Subject: Re: [PABUCKS] Marriage records in Bucks County Jean, There are no marriage records per se for that time period except for church records. If you know what church they went to or what denomination they belonged you might find a record that way. Quakers kept the most extensive records. Also if you know where they lived you might check the records for that community. People usually attended a church near enough that they could walk or ride horseback. Lots of luck. They were married in the early 1850's, both living in Bucks County. Is there of index of marriages for this time period that can be checked and can a copy of the record, if found, be obtained? I am hoping a marriage record might give parent information so I can continue research on their lines. Any help would be appreciated.
