Actually, a large part of S. Bethlehem does fall within the Northampton County line. And there was a West Bethlehem , but not until 1886 and it was incorporated with the city of Bethlehem in 1904. My home is in what was West Bethlehem. The area west of the Monocacy Creek is the Lehigh County side. East Bethlehem is a very old designation. Those areas have been called Freemansburg and Steel City since around the mid 1800s On 10/18/06, Pa Dutch Genes <[email protected]> wrote: > Actually, a large part of S.
