Diane, I am always looking for information on the Raylman family. Henry Raylman married Elizabeth Cooper Doane, who I am a descendant of. I know that the Doane family is fairly well documented, but it is not so with the Raylmans.... Any suggestions for finding Quaker records? Are there any good online resources? O.K. I give up !!!! According to all records I have searched in Pa. (not ships records until now), the children of Matthew Baines and his wife, Margaret Hatton-Baines,arrived in Chester in 1687. The parents died on the voyage over, just leaving Elinor (age 10) and William (age 6 ). Somehow, someone posted a Deborah on the internet as one of their children that married over here in 1701. ONLY THE TWO CHILDREN SURVIVED THE TRIP OVER HERE ! So, if this Deborah was in fact one of their children,Margaret must have left the three year old girl in England when they left. MY PROBLEM IS IF THIS IS SO,THEN WHEN DID SHE COME OVER??? IT WOULD HAVE HAD TO BE BY 1701 WHEN SHE MARRIED IN PA. ! she was suposed to have been born in 1683. ( my other problem, personal one, is how could she leave her baby and why?) My personal opinon is that Deborah belonged to another Baines, not them, but who knows ???! Any help will be GREATLY appriciated. Thank you, Linda --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now.

One of the Sellers was the head of the Newlin Mills Foundation at that time and may still be. After a long delay, they published a volume of the talks given. It would be worth your while to call or e-mail to see how much of that collection of papers directly addresses the Sellers family...or other items they have for sale in the headquarters building. I can't remember more details, but everyone there knew their family ancestors, and about half of the attendees were Sellers descendants.
