    1. [PABUCKS-L] Ann Davis
    2. Ed & Judy Berreth
    3. Census Lookup: Can someone tell me if there was an Ann Davis living in Newtown, Bucks, PA around 1870? I am curious about her, and was her father living with her at that time? I have a feeling that she never married, and that Gideon Davis (her father), who lived in Upper Make field from 1830 through the 1850s, went to live with her in his older years. Thanks so much, Judy Berreth

Seeking information regarding the parentage of Mahlon HICKS who m. Rebecca RIDGE, dau. of Henry and Elizabeth RIDGE. Am guessing that Mahlon was born somewhere between 1760 and 1770. Mahlon HICKS and family lived in Bucks Co., from before 1790 through 1840, but as yet I haven't a clue as to his origins or what might have happened to him after the 1840 census. Would very much like to learn who all of Mahlon and Rebecca's children might have been. Thus far, the only child that I know of was a dau., Jemima, who married James LEFFERTS. 2. Charles A. Bergey
    3. Posted on: Bucks Co. Pa Query Form Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Pa/Bucks/14719 Surname: ------------------------- I believe I have communicated with Karen Lint. I was not aware however that she has the Burgi's arriving in 1659. The immigrant Bergey arrived in 1717 and some of his children spelled the name as Bergy, some Berge, some Berky/Berkey. I have found a book by Richard Warren Davis that has my immigrant's name spelled Buergi in Switzerland and his mother's maiden name as Buerki. Some the chance is fairly strong that some Bergey's are related to Berkey's before 1717. Good luck to you.

The Burgi's arrived abt. 1659 and became the Berkey's. I'm not sure if the Bergey's are related - perhaps you will know. My own branch of Berkey's is so far not linked with these. Good luck!

    3. Posted on: Bucks Co. Pa Query Form Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Pa/Bucks/14716 Surname: Berkey, Kulp ------------------------- I see you posted a while ago, so I will respond in place of Linda (apologies Linda). I am researching the descendents of a sibling of John Barkey (Berkey). I would be surprised if the Gertrude Kulp that we are interested in had other children as we have several children listed in this family. I find that usually previous children are simply incorporated into the new family and all the children are listed. Kind of interesting though, because the dates and location sound pretty good. You can e-mail me if you want to pursue this. Thanks.

    1. [PABUCKS-L] from List Manager on Virus
    2. Judy Jackson
    3. Good Morning I usually do not post messages of this kind to the list. Plus if you have any response please sent them to me and not the list. There are some nasty viruses going around at the moment. But then again there is always one going around. The virus itself cannot come through the list. As attachments are not allow. When you get a virus it is coming from someone answering your post to the list. The best way to prevent a virus getting into your machine is to have an anti virus program and to update it often. Also have it set to check your email. And not to open an attachments if you do not know the person and to be very careful about opening any from someone you know. My virus program has caught two this week alone. And please remember that if you write someone about a virus they may have send there is a very good chance they may not know they have one affecting their machine. So be kind and write a friendly note. Please do not post the message to the list. There one day could be the chance you could be the one with the virus and think how you would feel if someone sent you a nasty letter and posted you name to the list. This mailing list is archive for everyone to see. If you get one from someone on the list you can write me and I will be happy to sent them a note letting them know.
