    1. [PABUCKS-L] Jordan Groman, Quakertown d. 1926
    2. Can anyone give me more details about Jordan C. Groman. Here is what I have so far. I have his death certificate which says he was born Nov. 19, 1872 in Pennsburg, Montgomery Co to Wm. (very difficult to read) Groman and Sarah (can’t make out the last name). He died in Quakertown, Bucks Co. Feb 15, 1926. His occupation is listed as Jitney Driver (so he may have been a bus driver on the Levi Transit from Trumbauersville to Quakertown to Richlandtown). In the 1880 census he is listed living in the household of David Beiler (age 66) and Sophia Beiler (age 67) in Milford Twp. However his relationship (he was 8 years old then) is not given. Were David and Sophia Beiler his maternal grandparents? Jordan died of Pneumonia and left a widow but her name is not given except as Mrs. Jordan C. Groman. He was buried from Treffinger’s in Quakertown and is probably buried in Union Cemetery. He did leave a Will which was filed in Doylestown in 1926. I suspect that William his father is one of the following: 1) the grandson of George Grohmann of Milford Twp. 2) The orphan of Conrad Croman of Richland Twp or 3) William the orphan of Michael Jr. of Richland Twp. I am most interested in nailing this down. The fact that Jordan was born in Pennsburg suggests that he is part of the Milford Groman’s given that William Groman the son of George Grohmann and Elis. Pfaff eventually ended up in Pennsburg and did have a son by the name of William born in 1843. But then also William the son of Conrad Croman ended up being buried in Old Goshenhoppen Church over in Woxall. And to make matters worse neither of them seems to have had a wife named Sarah. The wife of William son of Conrad was Malara Roshong. The wife of William grandson of George and Eliz Grohmann appears to have been Maria ? with children Cora and Harrison. >From the 1910 and 1920 census records for Quakertown I now have reason to believe that Jordan's wife was Annie Leedom who was born about 1872. Again any help would be appreciated.

    2. Richard O. Sommer
    3. Rosina RUMFELD (Minner) died in Montgomery Co. in January of 1819. The death was reported in the UNABHAENGIGER REPUBLIKANER on January 23, 1819. I would be interested in knowing the contents of the notice. I don't know if it is in the form of an obituary, or simply a death notice. This woman and her husband Philip RUMFIELD/RUMFELD, may be my ggggrandparents. Their marriage is recorded at the New Hanover Lutheran Church (Falckner Swamp) in Montgomery Co. as 11/23/1806. The baptism of their daughter Maria Anna, born 11/21/1812, is recorded at the Hilltown Church in Bucks Co. After Rosina's death Philip was apparently remarried and they are shown as parents of three more children at Hilltown, (Hiram, 1823; Sarah, 1825 and Elizabeth, 1827). My gggrandfather was born March 25, 1818 in PA. I have reason to believe that he is the son of Philip and Rosina, but have not been able to prove it. I would appreciate any help with this brick wall! They are in 1880 Census for Pennsylvania, Clinton County, Beech Creek. Census says she was born in Pennsylvania, but her parents were born in New Jersey. Does anyone have any " SOLLERS " or similar spellings in their files or information somewhere ? I notice there are some “ SOLLERS “ in Bucks county. I know nothing of her or her family... Thanks !! 1. [PABUCKS-L] Re: Monahan (Monaghan) Robinson
    2. Hi, I am trying to get to Abbotts through any possible link. Does Daniel Boone connect with any of the Washington lines, like Warner, Reade, Miller, Briggs, Lawrence, Pickett, Willis, Layne, Wore, or Browne, that you know of? I am told by both sides of my family that one woman is an Aunt to Daniel Boone, and the other side says there is also a link. I am currently waiting for some info. that may help. That, and dig through papers and find an ancient note I wrote that has one of the connections. I have a Thad Boon m. in 1868 m. to Louisa Jane Briggs, but that is not the one I can't get to yet. The Briggs are on Bridges Creek, also Pope's Creek, where Mt. Vernon now lies. Also, one of my lines, Lawrence, has a person of note, named Adam Lawrence, b. 1799, his father's father is also Adam Lawrence. The first (1799) went on a trip back to KY (his birthplace) with a Boone expedition/survey or something like that. It is mentioned in some stories by J. S. Wade (Capt.). Adam was in Aust! in's 300 toTX, and well-known frontiersman, married into the Simon Miller family. Any info. greatly apreciated. TIA Gayle

    2. I have a lot of information on Rudolph(f) Drak/Drach/Drag, including his will, if you are interested. I was trying to chase him down because his daughter, Anna Maria Drach, married Jacob Barntz, but then I realized she would have been only ten years old when my 3-g-grandmother, Elizabeth, was born. I found an earlier marriage of Jacob Barntz to Susanna Schaub, so that fit. Anyway, I'll send this if you are interested, but only if you are interested since I have to type it all. 8:o) Priscilla
