Good Morning Mary Louise, I visited the Bristol Cemetery many years ago as my Marmaduke and Sarah Elizabeth (Webster) Doan were buried there. I discovered that some where moved to make room for an A & P and it was my kin moved! Marmaduke and Sarah's oldest daughter married Harry A. Goslin. They lived on Market St in Bristol when I visited as a child. Harry's Grandfather was John Goslin who married Martha Randall b. 1788. She was daughter of Jacob Randall Jr., (b. 1765) son of Jacob & Elizabeth Hellings. Actually my Great Grandfather was son of Randall Goslin and my father's name was Randall. So we are proably cousins through the Randalls. Hoaglands moved to Belmar, NJ as did my Grandfather Harry Randall Goslin about 1900. I was born in Belmar. Now reside in MA but go home frequently. Still have one cousin living in Bristol on the Doan side and I understand there is a Goslin gal still living there in Bristol. Have not ever met her. Not sure this helps but we may be related. Jackie Goslin Davin, Once a Jersybel
Can someone kindly give me the address and phone (if available) for the Bristol Cemetery? Is it still active? I've just found an elusive great grandfather, John Frank Hogeland, was buried in Britstol Cemetery on January 18, 1907. The death certificate says he was the son of Henry Hogeland and Eliza Randall, who were both born in PA. John Frank Hogeland was born in PA on 9 March 1857. John Frank Hogeland was married twice. The first wife is unknown, but he had three children with her. The second wife was Mary Russell Lorimer. This family was living in Bensalem. Hoping to find some cousins, Mary Louise Townsend Potomac Falls, VA

Dear List members, For the past several months we have been doing research, and entering information on our website about Primitive or Old School Baptist churches, and their members' surnames, in about twenty of the northern states across America. We have been working on Pennsylvania and Michigan lately, but have a long ways to go, as we have not done nearly as much research on churches in those states as in Illinois and others closer to us. However, we wish to submit what we have to the genealogy research public, in hopes of obtaining help, information about the location of records, and just to be of help wherever we can. We realize our information will not help a large percentage of genealogists, but since many of the churches are very old, we may be able to help some in Pennsylvania or Michigan, as we have in other states. We have a library of church periodicals with several thousand obituaries in them, and a database of names of members which now exceeds 30,000 and growing. The surnames we have given serve as an index to our database which includes full names, and in some cases we have obituaries, etc. If you wish to take a look at our whole website, go to: http://www.carthage.lib.il.us/community/churches/primbap/pbl.html Or, if you wish to go the Pennsylvania and Michigan page directly, replace the pbl.html at the end of the URL with FamHist-NY.html We welcome you to write in our guestbooks, or to write to us. It may take us a few days to reply to email. Sincerely, Elder Robert Webb The Primitive Baptist Library 416 Main Street Carthage, IL 62321 ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! I've seen the name Croasdale mentioned a number of times lately on this list. Anyone researching this Bucks County family should be aware that several Croasdales moved to Maryland. The surname can be found in the censuses for Montgomery County, Maryland from about 1869 on, along with Wright, Dungan, Nuttall, Hill, Rich, and others.

Marge, Cuthbert and his wife were listed twice, once as a couple and secondly with son William. The first time William was mentioned it was not stated that he was their son, although it can be inferred.I listed them as they appeared in the will because, when you extract, you can make no assumptions The other family members you mentioned were not included in the will because.I recorded only what was listed and there were no more for that surname. Mimi My thanks to Mimi for sharing the list with us - I have printed and filed it - it is confusing to me however, as Cuthbert Hayhurst, his wife Mary and son William are listed twice [see Hearst]. other alternate spellings are Hairst and Hurst. As Cuthbert and Mary had the following Children who came to Bucks Co. with them - I don't understand why they are not included. Margery married John Cutler [ an early surveyor of Bucks Co.] Elizabeth married William Croasdale. Alice married Henry Nelson. Cuthbert 4 married Mary Harker.John who died in 1727. The above William married Rachel Radcliffe. These people were all early residents of Bucks - I have additional information on some of them if needed - hope this is of help marge
