    1. [PABUCKS-L] John Jones will 1791 to Wm. Huddleston
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Adair, Jones, Huddleston, Bryan, Hanna, Ewing, Alcutt Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DaB.2ACE/3734.1 Message Board Post: Perhaps infrmation may be found in the administration of the will of John Jones, Feb 9 1791, to William Huddleston, Laurens Co, SC. (William Huddleston Deed), at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~genea/huddwmdeed.html Apparently the 250 acres adjoined the property of John Adair. Some named in the deed were : Patrick Bryan witnesses: John Adair Robert Hanna Thomas Ewing Another connection may be Thomas Hughey bc1770 of Union Co. SC who m. Susannah Jones, dau of John & Elizabeth Jones (nee Huddleston). There was a Robert Adair m. Rebecca Huddleston and they had Elizabeth Adair of Middletown twp, Bucks Co. PA who m. 1799 Ben Alcutt. Ben & Elizabeth Alcutt apparently moved to Stark Co. OH where one of there children was named Rebecca (probably after her grandmother). The witnesses to the above deed appear to me to be sons or sons-in-law to James Adair who m. Rebecca Montgomery. Would you know of any Adairs of Bucks Co. please ?

    3. In case anyone is interested in the origins of these families in America, the Nevius family was in New Amsterdam by 1650-51, and the Stoothoffs were also a very early NY Dutch family. -----Original Message----- From: Harman Clark [mailto:hclark@bypass.com] Sent: Friday, September 07, 2001 5:12 AM To: PABUCKS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PABUCKS-L] Re: Stoothoff and Nevius Just a note of caution -- Wilson Ledley's reputation exceeds the quality of his research.
