I cancel too. I don't like the annoying "gatewayed" messages either. During the Civil War there was a hospital at White Hall, near Bristol. A short distance away, I think on River Road, was a cemetery that was moved many years ago. It may have been moved to an AME Church yard some where in the area. Does anyone know anything about this ??? Bill
Term meaning: Rootsweb set up the gateway for list owners to open the rootsweb message boards (online options) and allow the postings to these boards to appear on the email lists. This increases the messages to be seen on a wider scale. If they are not gatewayed, you will see only the posting to the email list. There fore most of us that run lists did open the gates to increase postings for our list members. If a member of the list doesnt have internet, they see only a small percentage of the postings on that surname, location, etc. One cannot reply to the gatewayed messages by posting a reply on the email list. One has to go to the message board online to reply. I hope this helps to explain it. SEA (I have 8 surname lists that are open to gateway.

Carrie's Husband was born in 1874, so I think we're looking for someone born in the 1870s. Just as an extra, my records show her as Carrie M. Dimmig. Perhaps she is the Margaret who you have listed as born in 1868 -- Carrie could have easily been 90 when she died (She looked it!) Otherwise, I don't think we can connect this together.
