    3. Good afternoon all First I want to thank everyone who took the time to vote. Isn't it great that we live in a country where we can. Here is the vote of 485 subscribers (as of this morning) 56 people voted. The results are as follows 25 Get rid of the gateway 29 Keep the gateway 2 did not express an opinion either way. It was a close vote but as I said the majority would rule when I started this. So the gateway will stay. One of the suggestion for those that do not like the gateway were to filter them to a folder in your inbox. I know with my email program I have my mail sorted to about 11 different folders. I had several say they had gotten some good leads from some of these gateway messages. While other feel they are a waste of time and don't contain anything. So as you see not every one is going to be happy with this decision. But I did say we would go with the majority. I hope no one will unsubscribe because of this as you could provide valuable information to others researching in the area. I also understand many are not happy with the new message system at rootswebs, myself included. That was why when they made the change I requested a new set of message boards be set up at Pa Roots. A couple of the boards had already been already set up. 1. [PABUCKS-L] Dieter or Teeter; Metzger
    2. There was a land record for Peter Teeter in Bucks County 1737 and Conrad Teeter 1747. I have found some records with name as "Dieter". They later moved to N.J. Is anyone familiar with this name in Bucks County--also Jonas Metzger who was in Springfield church records. Does anyone have access to Bucks County birth records? I need to find the relationship for Peter, Henry and Conrad Teeter or Dieter. Margie

I don't have hard facts on this line. I saw it in a WFT. Andrew's parents were listed as John Headman and Hannah Lewis. John's parents were Andreas Hettmansperger and Christina Eberly. Catherine was listed with several siblings including; John A., William H., and Minifred The Headman's had a habit of using their middle names so its hard to track. I can't confirm any of this.

    3. I'm sorry, but, why should there be a vote when just several people complain. This list has finally started to be interesting,. I"m am not just being disagreeable, but, more and more I have to leave lists because of small cliques who dictate what these lists should be. I happen to welcome the change. If anything needs to be improved on this list it is in "citing sources". Perhaps if they subscribe to the "digest" they can skip what they don't like. I have left this list many times and come back to see if it is any better. and this time I stayed. Mimi

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Paxson, Wright, Farnsworth Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DaB.2ACE/4125 Message Board Post: My great-grandfather's name was Henry Paxson WRIGHT. We know that Henry's grandfather, Benjamin WRIGHT, was born in Bucks Co on 12 Apr 1794 probably somewhere in the vicinity of Falls Township. Henry's father, Aden WRIGHT, was born 14 Oct 1819 in Bucks Co, PA. About 1825, the family relocated to Fairfield Twp, Lycoming Co, PA. Benjamin WRIGHT had several children with a first wife that we have never identified. It appears that she died before the move to Lycoming Co and a subsequent second marriage to Eunice FARNSWORTH. My ancestor, Aden, was one of those children with the unidentified first wife. It recently occurred to me that Aden may have given my great-grandfather, Henry, a middle name of Paxson because that was his mother's maiden name. The children we know were born to Benjamin WRIGHT and his first wife are: Aden 14 Oct 1819, Benjamin 25 Dec 1820, William about 1822, Amos F. about 1825, and Elizabeth 25 Aug 1830. Have any of you PAXSON researchers come across a potential or probable PAXSON-WRIGHT connection with my WRIGHT family?

Robert became a Quaker sometime before April 16, 1760 when he married Ann (daughter of Joseph Chapman and Mary Worth, Joseph being the son of John Chapman and Jane Sadler and Mary being the daughter of Joseph Worth and Sarah Giles) in Wrightstown. He was the son of James Verree and Rachel ? of Burlington, and James was the only son and heir of this James Verrier (who married Valbert Williams) mentioned in the above deed. I am extremely interested in the Verree family, some of which migrated to Charleston SC. I would love to learn when they turned Quaker (perhaps one by one). I do have the book references you mention, but thanks so much for taking the time to write. Let me know if you run across them again...
