    1. [PABUCKS-L] BLACK/SWARTZ Pre 1860 Bucks, PA
    2. Andrew BLACK, b. abt 1836 (m. Susanna); had children: Sarah Elizabeth, b. abt 1859; George, b. abt 1861 (m. Vinnie); A. Lincoln b. abt 1866; and Anna Mary, b. abt 1869. Who are Andrew's parents? I've been told the name changed somewhere from SWARTZ to BLACK. One of his ancestors is possibly Michael SWARTZ who purchased a Ferry Line in Bucks County in 1769. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Danel

    1. [PABUCKS-L] HIXSON & STROCK - Bucks County, 1800-1900
    2. Phyllis Solter
    3. Dear list members, I'm working with a Strock-Hixson descendant. We're interested in corresponding with anyone who has information to share about the following two families. George Hixson(b. 1820) - wife Margaret(b.1830) In Bucks County by 1850 Son William H.(b. 1852) - wife Catherine(b. 1857) Their son Franklin (1878-1969) Franklin married Anna Strock (b.1881) daughter of Wilson Strock (b. 1854) and Emma E.(b. 1857) Wilson was the son of A(ndrew) Jackson Strock (b. 1826) and wife Elizabeth. Jackson Strock was the son of William (b. 1798) & Catherine(b. 1798) The Strocks were in Bucks County by the Revolutionary War latest. The above is from census records. At this point I do not have access to Bucks County marriage records so I don't have maiden names for wives. Any recommendations for book or microfilm sources for birth, marriage and death records for Bucks County would be helpful. This is real long distance genealogy we're doing (state of Washington) Thank you, Phyllis Solter

    1. [PABUCKS-L] Ancestry trial memberships
    2. I have just tried to cancel my trial census membership to no avail. Their business hours are Mon - Fri mountain time. E-mails from the site don't go through. There is an 800 number: 1-800-262-3787 Option 4 is to cancel but you have to wait until Monday. I can only assume they don't count the week-end as part of the 7 day trial period. I checked all of the original documentation. No where does it say how to cancel. A lesson learned I must say.
