    3. Maggie, You would do a great favor for me and my extended family who are researching if you could find any information on John Michael Masterson and his first wife, Jane or Jennie Lewis of New Hope, Penna. They married in July 1875 and had a child, a girl named Clara Masterson. I would be so happy to find out when, where, and from what Jennie and Clara died. Any other information would great, as well! Thanks for taking on this mammouth task for everyone! 2. Marion Kane
    3. Ken, I checked Davis' biographies for the Morgan's and Longs you are looking for. There was no Thomas Long. There was a Rachel Morgan who married Jonathon Martindell who was born in 1763. There was no Eleanor Pawling. However, there was a Sarah Heinlein who became the second wife of a James Morgan, an ironmaster at the Durham furnace. His son, Daniel Morgan, became a famous general in the Revolutionary War. If this is of interest to you, I can print out that biography and mail it to you if you send me your mailing address. 2. Diane, My gggg grandfather MORGAN LONG 1780 - 1864 of Durham Twp, Bucks, PA m. RACHEL STEWART 1781 - 1810. He died in Durham and she died in Stewartsville, Sussex, NJ. They had Thomas Stewart Long and his twin daughter Rachel, that I know of. I suspect that Morgan Long's parents were THOMAS LONG 1740 -1810 and RACHEL MORGAN 1748 - 1828. I am looking for Thomas Long and Rachel Morgan's children and everything on the Morgan family who might be James Morgan and Eleanor Pawling. Thank you. Ken Schroeder Mundelein, IL

    2. Mary Anne Sine
    3. Hello to the group! My sister and I have been working off and on tracking our family. My Father's Sine family comes from Bucks County but seems to drop down the rabbit hole and then pop back up again. I am sure that many of you on the list feel the same way. We believe (but do not have a real confirmation) that our family came to Phila. in 1749: Name: Johannes Peter Sein, Ship: TWO BROTHERS Captain: THOMAS ARNOT Place: ROTTERDAM Date: SEPT. 14, 1749 Name: Johannes Peter Sein, Ship: TWO BROTHERS Captain: THOMAS ARNOT Place: ROTTERDAM Date: SEPT. 14, 1749 We believe he lived in Germantown for a period of time and then pops up in Bucks County church records as sponsors for family members baptisms. John Peter Sayn sponsored a baptism at Keller's church in 1751. Huber, Mary Elizabeth Dau of Jacob Huber and Elizabeth, bapt Oct 6,1751, by Rev Jacob Reiss. Witnesses were John Peter Sayn and Magdalena Diel. (Keller's Church records) And then: Peter Sine, a German, an inmate of the Alms-house admitted on March 22, 1810, died there April 2, 1820, aged 110 years born 1710. Bucks County poorhouse records for deaths also indicate a William Sine as dying October 17, 1852, aged 69 years old which means he was born in 1783 approximately. If there is anyone out there who can help us to confirm/fill-in the blanks on this branch it would be wonderful, because Petter is the one that we believe is our link to the United States from Germany, but without being able to find him and confirm info we don't feel that we can really claim him; so, still our brick wall! Thanks, Mary Anne Sine [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>

    2. Hi Linda, I, too, learned some awful news this past month, and especially just the other day. I had a tumor removed from my foot just before Christmas, and it was found to be cancerous. On Thursday, my doctors informed me that the entire foot (except the heel) is cancerous and must go. My surgery is scheduled for February 9, and my thoughts are now that I wish it were even sooner. Life and death are closely related, just at opposite ends of the spectrum. The unknown, and the feelings of loss, when someone dies is what is so disconcerting. However, with faith we must accept that death comes to all of us, and we need not fear the unknown. Yes, the loss of our loved ones leaves a mighty big hole, and often all those things you never thought to say or ask come back to haunt us. Your thoughts expressed in your email were precious. I hope you keep your spirits up, and know that you had a beautiful relationship with your brother. He would want you to carry on with the work of love you both shared. Also there was an Edmund Roberts b. abt 1734 who married Jane Van Horn and I know you have Van Horns. Both are in my data base but only as distant collateral name so that is all I have on them. Just a thought. You probably have these already but for what its worth ------ In the meantime stay warm. Our winter has been awful so far. 3. Linda; Thank you so much for your kindness. We humans always want more for some reason. I was helping him do some research and if he had lived just one more day, we might have gotten the answer. This morning someone sent me an address that could perhaps give us the answer. I will pursue our inquires and pass the information on in his Genealogy and to his son. Presper Joseph Skill, was more than just a brother, he was my friend, my adviser and my partner in the "Skill" Genealogy. I will miss him so very much! I was on the computer when I received the sad news and for some reason I just reached out to my "Bucks Family". All of you have responded with so much care and kindness. I am very grateful. Thank you Linda and thank you to all my "family" at pa-bucks. Linda http://www.no1rosemom.net --------------------------------- We won't tell.
