The Pipersville Inn is a B&B in a nice area, about 10 minutes from Doylestown at Stump Road and Route 611. Doylestown is the County Seat) The Spruance library has good genealogical material and requires membership in Bucks County Historical Society. Gwynned Meeting house is on 202 South, easy trip from Pipersville. Abington Friends Meeting ( about 40 minutes from the Inn) has some records housed at the Meeting, some at the Montgomery County Historical Society. Other meeting minutes are housed at Swarthmore and Haverford Colleges ( 45 minutes to an hour from the Inn depending on time of day). Some land records are housed at the Doylestown Courthouse. The Doylestown Library has a book of early tax records. You may want to check the PA archives online for land records. Have a great trip. It's a lovely area. Maggie Timothy Baines never married anyone, he died in 1687! He was born in 1678. These people need to watch their dates closer. william and elizabeth had a son named Timothy. --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now.

to me the will of William Tiller reads " to his four daughters - Mary Beans being one of his daughters,so she must have married a Beans I assume. As for Thomas Beans, born Oct 3, 1744, this proves that he is the grandSON of William Beans born 1681 in England and lived to come to America, married Elizabeth and died in 1729. William died in 1729, so he could not have been that Thomas's father. William's son ,Thomas was born before 1729. William and Elizabeth had a son Thomas and a grandson named Thomas. the grandson was the child of Thomas and his wife Jane and had brother's Nathan,Issac,Stephen and a sister named Jane. Several other of William and Elizabeth's children also named their children Thomas after the child Thomas that died on board ship of Matthew and Margaret. Hi, I like a place outside of Doylestown called the "Country Place" rest. Good food, reasonable prices. In Peddler's Village there are two hotels.both equally good. the chain hotel is more reasonable that the Peddler's Inn,but I have forgotten the name of it. Don't miss Peddler's Village while you are there. Research at the Spraunce Library, Court house, and historical society, the library will tell you about the Historical society. Also visit the Newtown,Pa historical society. Since Newtown was the original court house, before it was moved to Doylestown, they have lots of information also. There may be lots more, but these are my favorites. Linda , --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage.
