Thanks to your latest newspaper abstracts online I was able to locate a relative who unfortunately died at a tender age of 4 years--scarlet fever in 1880..There is a strong possibility the great grandparents returned to their beloved Tioga Co. after 20 years in Elmira and research has them living into the 1920's. Is there anyway I can locate death notices for these elusive gr. grandparents? Another thought about these hearty ancestors of ours..The heavy clothing that the women wore must have been unbearable in the heat of summer..No doubt they used large quantities of toilette water--Enjoyed the photos of these pioneers.
