    3. Howdy, Listers: Within 48 hours two direct email messages about "The Lost Clan of the McElhoes" reached me this week in response to Tri Counties Queries and/or Tri Counties Mail List. Living kin of my great grand father, George White McElhoe have contacted me from California and from Florida. He is said to have died March 24, 1889 or 1880 in Athens, Bradford, BUT....I've been working the Tri Counties Research Library since early April, finding no sign that any McElhoe ever was born, married or buried there. Except for his old photo, and grand mother's hand-written sketch of family history, he seems to have left no records on Earth except lines in six census reports. None of us know where or when he died...yet Had I not remained on The List, these messages from living kin would not have come to me! Suffering "dead end discouragement, I've been revitalized! Copies of the the rare old photo have been emailed to folks who now regard it as a "priceless" family treasure. Geo. W. has 8 generations in the branches of his family tree. My thanks to Joyce, Tri Counties, and the volunteer helpers who make it possible. DeGinder/DeKinter - Texas
