Actually, Suzanne, Eve was indeed "tempted" by the serpent, however, the Good Book DOES say that God told them NOT TO EAT from the apple tree (Tree of Knowledge) - everything else in the garden was "fair game" (pardon the pun!) She thought God would never know and hence "shared" with Adam.
