Discharge For Private 141st New York Infantry Item #464041668 DISCHARGE FOR PRIVATE IN THE 141ST NEW YORK INFANTRY: 8 x 10 imprinted document, filled out in ink. Large woodcut vignette at top center with spread winged eagle on shield with U.S. flags, stars, etc. For Private Kinney Burnham, Co. K, 141st New York Infantry. States that he enlisted on Aug. 26, 1862, and was discharged on June 8, 1865, at Washington, D.C. Also shows that Burnham was born in Bradford Co., Pa., was 34 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with blue eyes, fair complexion, light hair and was a farmer by occupation. Discharge has been signed by M. J. Hogarty, 1st Lieut., 141st N.Y. Vols., Comdg. Company and twice by E. A. Wickes, Capt. 150th N.Y. Infantry. Has also been signed in red ink by J. M. Austin, Paymaster U.S.A. Has blue rubber stamp showing that $100 bounty was paid. Slight mounting traces on the reverse. Comes complete with xerox copies of Burnham's muster rolls and pension records. The 141st N.Y. Infantry saw service at Suffolk, Yorktown, Chattanooga, Missionary Ridge, Knoxville, the Atlanta campaign, Savannah, and the 1865 Carolina's campaign.
