Hi All, I have continued to chip away at the supply of school related memorabilia all day and it has come in faster than I can work. After a full day of web page formatting, I find myself with a bigger back log than I started with. What a wonderful problem to have. I am very excited about the participation of so many of you in scavenging out these photos and informative materials from their attic hideouts. Bill Benson's negatives came in the mail today and I find that I can scan them successfully using my super-duper HP transparency scanner. So far, I have put up New Albany and Biddle from that collection. They are both in the 1920s section of the School Souvenir listing. I am so excited about that collection. I expected just photos of the old buildings, but they are so much more than that. They cover every aspect of rural one room school life of the time including tooth check (See Biddle). They are truly a glimpse through a window to a time and place and lifestyle that is gone. We are so fortunate to have them. I will be chipping away at that collection as time allows. Not even Louis himself could break my focus. I tuned him out. Joyce M. Tice
