Hi Everyone, Mrs. Barbara Gates Decker, who taught in East Smithfield for many years, is interested in the Gates Family history. She is in the Bradford County Manor, unable to walk, but her mind is sharp as a tack. When I visited her on Friday, she asked me what I could find out about her father's family. Her father was Freeman Gates b. 1878 in Springfield Twp. he died 1957. He is a descendant of Oliver Gates who settled in Springfield Twp. in 1806. I have researched this family on Joyce's website, and came up with quite a bit of information, but if anyone has really worked on this family would you please contact me. Thanks Pat Raymond
