Hello list, I am living near Bradford County temporarily, and would like to know if anybody is researching the Vought family. Godfrey Vought, one of the Rome pioneers, was an xG-uncle, and Henry Lent was either a cousin or uncle as well. I understand that Godfrey is buried in Rome. Does anybody know if his tombstone is still there? Also, I have heard that Godfrey's parents, Joseph and Christina, followed his son to Rome and died there. There is no mention of Joseph and Christina in the Bradford County histories I have read. There is another Joseph, of a later generation. Any clues? I'm planning a visit to Rome soon to check out the cemeteries.
