Listers, I read that someone had applied for a civil war pension application and received the papers within a month. I applied for two. Both are for gr gr grandparents. One is listed in the index and the other died at Andersonville but is not shown in the index. Today, after exactly four months of waiting. I received notice from them that they had a complete file for the ancestor who died at Andersonville. Needless to say, I am ver excited. My information on him is sketchy at best. He is mentioned on the Clymer page in the story by Blanche Ludwig as it was her grandfather. Charles Johnson. My point is, don't give up folks. It takes awhile but for me will be well worth it. Harold
