Cyndie, Who were Mary Ellen Goff's parents? I'm descended from several Goffs who lived in Wells Twp, Bradford Co, PA in the early 1800s. My ancestors Solomon and his wife Huldah moved to Medina Co, OH and disappeared about 1833. They originally came from Glastonbury, CT. I suspect they died in Medina Co, but no cemetery record yet. I found a Bethuel Goff living in the same area as Solomon in CT, then VT, then Bradford Co, PA, and finally Medina Co, OH. I suspect Bethuel was his brother. Bethuel had a son Luman who moved to Erie Co, PA. There's also an Aaron, who I suspect was the father of Solomon and Bethuel, who appears to have died in VT. I haven't been able to find birth records yet linking these Goffs, but I'm certain they're related somehow due to proximity. Solomon had many children. I've got them listed on my web page (address below). He applied for a Revolutionary War pension and gave a list of his dependents. Solomon's first? son, my ancestor, Elisha, moved to Allegany Co, NY, then Winnebago Co, IL. His descendents moved to WI, then IA. So far I haven't located any Goffs buried in Bradford Co, PA. Yours are the first. Let me know if you can determine if and how Mary Ellen and her parents fit in with the rest of these Goffs. P.S. I'm in Herndon also. - ------------------------------------------------------ Winston Gadsby wingadsby@juno.com www.geocities.com/Heartland/Prairie/4678 - ------------------------------------------------------ Hi, Had the opportunity recently to visit Canton. Found my GGrandfather Solon A. REYNOLDS and some of his family including his wife Mary Ellen GOFF and her parents in the Main Street Cemetery thanks to the Veterans page on Joyce's site. Stopped at the small cemetery behind the Canton Municipal building but found no GOFFs there. Does anyone know where they went?
