Thanks Tom. I love seeing old photos, even if they're not my kin. I've gotten addicted to purchasing old CDVs and tintypes off eBay, especially those from studios in the PA/NY/NJ area. As my Mother and all her siblings are gone, and I unfortunately have only 1/2 dozen or so old photos, I have no idea what most of my ancestors looked like! I find myself staring at these eBay photos, looking for some family resemblance, wondering, "could you be my grandmother's sister? or one of her brothers?" It makes me sad that families have somehow lost these photos and I wish I could reunite them! But what's more sad is that some families don't care about them. I just can't fathom that! I did find a site recently (link below) that attempts to find homes for unknown photos, and will eventually post all my new photo finds there, in the hope that a family member will see them. Maybe Joyce would be interested in doing something like this? Thoughts and suggestions? http://www.lostleavesphotos.com/ Thanks, best, and have a great weekend! Lorraine Latta ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have a relative that found some old photos in her collection, but she doesn't know who they are of. Would this be the proper forum for displaying those photos, in the hopes that someone could identify the individuals in the photos ? If not, please let me know where this should be done. Anyway, here are 2 links to the photos in question: (The back of the first photo indicates that it was taken in 1918) www.clarks.i8.com/four_generations_women.jpg www.clarks.i8.com/audrey_scan2.jpg Thanks for any help or info.
