John, I have nothing for you on Evalina Rumsey, but I am happy to see someone researching the Rumseys. My Wells family intersected with the Rumseys when Louisa Maria (or Maria Louisa) WELLS born 21 Apr 1836 NY) and died 12 June 1915 married Orrin Darius RUMSEY on 4 Jan 1857 in Sullivan Twp., Tioga Co., PA. Orrin was born 5 Nov 1834 Sullivan Twp, and died 18 May 1910..He was the son of Oliver RUMSEY and Elizabeth LUDDINGTON. Louisa was the daughter of Nelson Wells and Eliza/Elizabeth/Betsy M. Bradford. The latter is buried at Wellsboro Cemetery near Louisa and O.D., but I can't find Nelson Wells' 1860 burial place. I have wondered who has the family Bible kept by Louisa Maria and O.D.? Perhaps there is some clue in there that would help me finish his family line. Thanks, Margie in Calif.
