Dear Roland, I would have sent this to you via your e-mail, but I misplaced your address. Waterman H. McIntyre is listed as a freeman on the wells tax book. Apparently, in order to become a freeman, he had to be approved by the other freemen in the area. Do you know of any records, concerning freemen, in wells twp. 1820-23? Would that kind of information be a matter of record for voting purposes? Was there a voter registration for that period of time? How did they verify someone was able to vote? If Waterman's (gs) is correct he would have turned 21 on 11 April 1822.
