I have come upon an interesting fact regarding the book Presidents, Soldiers, and Statesmen. I recently purchased a set (vol. I & II) but could not find Adam Richter of Blossburg who is listed in it. They apparently printed several regional versions of volume II. I wound up with a western New York version of Volume II while Adam Richter is apparently listed in a Pennsylvania version. I already have a copy of his write-up and was hoping to purchase the whole book. I Just wanted to let everyone know to that you have to know which volume II you want to look in. While I am disappointed to not find Adam Richter listed, the two volumes are a wealth of information on the Civil War, the signers of the declaration of independence, and the Presidents and there cabinet members. It will be great reading material. The only tri-county entry I noticed was of a Harkness from Springfield. -- Dana Richter [email protected]
