I am searching the following Nichols line from Bradford Co., and would love to exchange information. I descend from George Nichols from Wysox, Pa. George was born 1824 in Pa., and married Eliza Swackhammer. Eliza was born im 1819, and died in 1862. George died in 1864, during the battle of North Anna River on May 23, 1864. He and Eliza are buried in the Mercur Cemetery, Wysox, Bradford Co. They had the following children: 1. Mary- born March 2, 1840, married #1, Joel Allis, #2 Frank Holmes 2. Jeremiah- born c. 1843, died May 19l 1863 during the Civil War. 3. Eliza Amanda- c. 1845 4. Anna Maria- March 14, 1847, died Mar 14, 1922, married George L. Wickizer. 5. Hiram- born 1849, died 1920, married Lucelia D. Jillson 6. Allen- c. 1851 7. Jane- c. 1853 8. Frank- Dec. 8, 1855, died April 25, 1945, married to Etta Brink 9. Isaac W., c. 1847. George and Eliza are listed in the 1850 & 1860 living in Wysox. Also in Wysox in 1850 & 1860, is an Alvin Nichols. I don't know his relationship, but he is living next door. Alvin had the following children: Charles, Elizabeth, George, Mary, Perry, Lavina, Ella, Jennie. Alvin was married to Olive Ward. If you have anything on these families I would love to hear from you.
