Has anyone on this list had any experience with sharing information with someone and then having it turn up on the internet without your permission? Or credit? I have repeatedly emailed the person and asked them to remove it. What can I do? They included info on living people. Thanks Joan in Lowell, Ma
Yes I have had that experience. Currently there is Spencer-Lefler info on GenCircles which is erroneous(For example it mixes up Tioga County,NY, and Tioga County,Pa.) but it also gets names wrong. I have posted corrections but the one who put it all there said she doesn't care and will get to it some day. This was a couple of years ago. Yes, and it was incomplete. I should send her an email and have her remove it. (By the way, IO had sent the information to her).
