    3. M- What a great story!! That is why we do genealogy-we look out there at nothing,throw out some names, and then,suddenly, things hook up and there is something out there!! And Hector is a hard place. My Foster Updyke was a trustee of the 2nd Baptist Church. I am constantly hunting my Leflers there and have not found any public record, not even in the Steele Library of Elmira which I agreee is the greatest place to spend a day-bright and open, good chairs , friendly people who have done a lot for this visitor from a distant place.
