I emailed the list owner Sunday asking how I would benefit (*given this established tri-counties listgroup and the tri-counties site) and lo, was suscribed, so I went to look for an evening. My question went unanswered, but I assumed I'd learn for myself. I read, and replied to, a few posts where I thought I might have some info, and made two queries of my own - you just never know when you'll hit someone who knows something this list's readership hasn't. (And no, my queries were NOT "aswered" as claimed above.) What did happen is that my next two *replies* vanished, did not appear on the list. I wrote the listowner, thinking a yahoo glitch had appeared. Not the case. Ronda Savey informed me she hadn't "liked my posts" (in those words) and therefore "moderated" those two "until she got to know me better". I responded asking 1) what she didn't like, and 2) how, if I could read-only she would get to know me. Her reply was to #2) (#1 went unanswered) "I posted your last two post. You can post I just reveiw them before they go out", adding something more about wanting the list to be "fun". My reply: "Rhonda, you have not explained yourself, what you found that you personally did not like. I am not being given the ADULT option to do anything different. I haven't been "reviewed" except for publication since grad school." "Again, what did you not like about what I wrote? Be specific." Her reply to my follow-up asking what she didn't like was to unsubscribe me immediately - within about 24 hours' time total "membership". Nothing more. I doubt anyone wants to see a transcript of the above exchanges but if there's doubt I'll email one. Anyone who wants to join that list and read my queries and replies might be able to discern and let me know what could be offensive about my posts, too, although for all I know they may have been removed now.
