John D. Ameigh b. 1801-10 first appears on the 1833 assessment list of Wells Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, acquiring property of Ephraim Sixby. Enumerated in Jackson Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania in 1840. Wife, P. M. b. c. 1813. John was evidently deceased prior to the 1850 census enumeration when P. M. and children were enumerated in Jackson Township. Peggy Sturdevant, age 68, enumerated with P. M., and perhaps her mother. Children: 1. Cyrus Ameigh b. c. 1833. 2. Luana Ameigh b. c. 1835. 3. Phebe Ameigh b. c. 1839. 4. Richmond Ameigh b. c. 1842. J.
