Hi Everyone, Last Saturday while looking for something entirely different at the Bradford County Library in Burlington, I came across a box of diary's written by George Bourne. They started in 1860 when he was still in school, and I'm not sure how many years there were in the box. I randomly selected one (1879) and wrote down any entry that gave information about people in the area. Mr. George Bourne lived about half way between Smithfield and Burlington Twp., but his home was actually in West Burlington. It was on the Berwick Turnpike and his descendants still live there. He owned and operated a Lumber Mill, and I remember when it was still in operation. He knew a great many people, and the people that he mentions are from the general area. I did not, and will not, type the whole diary as there are days and days that the only entry is "Ran Saw" or "Planed", so this is not a long document. I am sending the first one to Joyce for the site, and will type other ones as I have time to do it. Pat Raymond
