Hi Myrt, (copy to Tri-County Mail list) Thanks for notifying me, but there is not much you can do about it except what you are doing - keeping your virus protection up to date and not downloading any files you don't understand. The new viruses use email addresses of people that they get from other sources. they really are not necessarily from the address it says it is from. I even get them from myself. My address is on all 7500 of my site's pages and that is one of the sources they use. Others have reported this to me also. Just be VERY Very, cautious. The mail list itself does not spread infected files. I get my list mail in a separate account and none of the messages have attached files. It just can't happen. No files can be sent through the mail list filter. But, addresses of mail list subscribers can be confiscated and used as a phony sender address. I am sending this answer on to the mail list also, so I don't; have to repeat it. Thanks, Joyce M.
