I have looked since 1980 for a place in Veteran that might have early records and to date have found none. I visited the town historian and clerk but nothing seemed to be available. My ancestor Truman K Cornell was there as early as 1828 or thereabouts. He owned several properties. He had two daughters that married into the family Groom, the son and grandson of William Groom or Groome, Sr. His second wife the mother of all known Children was Sarah Catharine Sawyer the daughter of Harmon and Sarah White Sawyer.00 In 1830 and 1835 there are other Cornell families there-Issac,Israel.
