There was a Redburn, PA, located on RT. 14, south of Tioga County line in Lycoming County; between Roaring Branch and Ralston. One part of Roaring Branch is in Tioga County and the other part is in Lycoming Co. Ralston is in lycoming Co. I think there were some coal mining families that lived there first but years later Francis Bunn of Union Twp. bought a huge tract of timber and he housed his men in the old abandoned houses at Redburn. There was an iron furnace built there but was never put into operation because the owner was shot to death in a Philadelphia hotel - over a woman, what else! Barb Conrad
