Dear members of the PABRADFO list, I commend Janet Ordway's suggestion of asking scouts to assist in a project to clean cemeteries. Perhaps I might add a little to it: The Young Men and Young Women organizations of most local wards (congregations) of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints would consider such a service project, too, and most would likely participate. Here in Maryland and in the District of Columbia, where I live and work, respectively, LDS youth groups and scout troops are cleaning cemeteries around the area, with the help of their adult counsellors, members of the church and their immediate families. I believe there is an LDS Church in Towanda. Someone might try approaching them (especially if someone on this list is LDS and a member of the Towanda Ward) regarding this service project. Just say another Latter-day Saint recommended them.
