Hi All, Today's second upload is another diary, the 1871 Diary of Chattie Fuller of Ridgebury. Chattie's 1870 diary was added to the site a month or so ago, so here is its sequel. It also includes a partial year diary of Chattie's little sister Julia. This diary is particularly poignant and emotional as it includes the death of Chattie's older married sister and the conflict with the brother-in-law over custody and care of the sister's young daughter. It gives us a look at the difficult episodes of life that are so often shielded away from us. It is my belief that history should be presented as it is and not sugar coated. In our generation we have to deal with many difficult issues, and it is important for us to understand that none of our problems are new or unique or in any way unusual. Our thanks to the submitter for allowing us to print this diary in its entirety. You may reach the Diary collection from Box 31 B of the Online Research Library of <A HREF="http://www.rootsweb.com/~srgp/jmtindex.htm">Tri-Counties Genealogy & History Sites of Joyce M.
