Hello: I am researching CHAUNCY CORNISH who on the 1880 PA Census lived in Westfield Twp. He was born Jan. 1841 in NY/PA. He was a farmer & shinglemaker. His wife was Emma M. born abt. 1847 in NY. They had 5 children. Fayette E. born May 1864 in PA; Fredrick D. born abt. 1866 in MN; Frank G. born abt. 1869 in MN; William C. born Feb. 1873 in PA & Jennie E. born abt. 1877 in PA. In 1900, he is living with his son and family in S.D. I suspect Emma M. would have died between 1880 and 1900. In Westfield? I did not find her listed in any of the cemeteries on line for the area. I did find an Anna Cornish in the 1899 Directory for Westfield Borough. She was listed as a widow of Chauncy, h & lot North. Anna/Emma? Maybe, but the dates don't match. In !900, Chauncy is living with his son and in 1910 I have him in the State Soldier's Home in SD. I did note 3 other Cornish buried at the Pioneer Cemetery, Westfield, Tioga Co. Alvia Cornish, Stella Cornish & Lewis Cornish. Thomas Cornish (husband of Stella) was also noted in the 1880 Census. In fact, he was on the same page as Chauncy & family.
