    3. So what can we do about changing what happened now? I seriously doubt that what happened over the last three or four hundred years was planned in advance. It is easy for someone to say how terrible the white man was, especially when they are sitting in their overstuffed chair in front of a TV or worse yet, in front of their 500 megahertz computer talking to the world. I grow weary of people who complain about how things should have been. If you really feel that you don't deserve what you have, do something about it. Engage in constructive volunteer work to help those less fortunate. If you are already doing it, more power to you! If you aren't, just what do your words really mean? Also, having spent many years on reservations in the midwest, I can pretty much say (as Russell means once said a lot more eloquently) that the first chemical warfare inflicted on a population was supplying the Indian population with alcohol.
