    1. [Tri-Counties] Local Events and Resources for historians
    2. Hi All, As you know, I no longer use the site's mail list as a form of communication to my guests. Be sure instead to check the site's What's New pages regularly for information on new additions to the site's massive library as well as local events that historians will enjoy and any messages that I need to communicate to you. If you are sponsoring a local event of interest to history minded folks or know of one in your area locally, please be sure to notify me at my regular address of JoyceTice@aol.com for it to be included. I have added a section at the bottom of March's What's New page for events that will occur later in the year - Future events. That way I won't forget them if I am notified early and people can plan ahead. If you are from out of the area and plan to visit here you might want to schedule it to coincide with one of the local events that interests you. The What's New pages always link from just below the top photo on the site's main page. You can reach it when you want it and not have it cluttering up your already overloaded email box. For those of you who are still not using the site on a regular basis, or who have not fully explored its 11,000 plus pages, the main page is http://www.rootsweb.com/~srgp/jmtindex.htm. I am also hoping to work more closely with more of the local historical organizations to publicize their resources. I have added a page this morning for the LeRoy Museum which so nicely contacted me and have started communications with the Johnny Jones Museum. We will be presenting them on site soon. If you have a local historical society - township level - and want more exposure to the Internet community, work with me to give you a place on the site. A write-up and some photos of your facility will be a good start. Notification of your events to me directly will also help increase your traffic and possibly your membership. Stay in touch and Best Wishes. Joyce M. Tice
