If you are researching early Bradford County assessment (tax) lists, there are lists available that predate the formation of Bradford County. 1776 - Up The River District, Westmoreland County, Connecticut (included Susquehanna Valley and under Connecticut claim) 1777 - Up The River District, Westmoreland County, Connecticut 1796 - Tioga Township - 2 separate lists (Heverly and Murray and both contain more information on these lists than what was published in Pioneer and Patriot Families) 1796 - Wyalusing 1796 - Wysox 1802 - Ulster 1802 - Rush 1804 - Orwell 1804 - Burlington 1806 - Canton 1808 - Tioga The above townships existed before the creation of many of the present townships and covered a much larger area than present day. For instance, the Tioga assessment of 1808, covered present Wells, South Creek, Ridgebury, Athens, and the western half of Litchfield Townships.
