    3. GlacierHello, The 1840 census for Chemung Co., Catlin, NY lists Patience C. Stevens as head of the family. She is listed there again in the 1850 census and again in 1870. She lives near the Barber family, including Hannah Barber. I believe Hannah, widow of Reuben Barber, was the mother of Patience. >From another source, I have Patience's husband listed as Charles Stevens, but believe he may have died before 1840 since he is not listed in the census. I have four children listed for her: Soliman b. 1825, Nancy b. 1829, Esther b. 1832, and Eliza b. 1833. I'm trying to connect this Stevens family to the Tylor or Perry families. Mary Elizabeth Tylor (1848-1931) married Josiah Perry (1847-1887). In 1880 they lived in Catlin: Josiah was age 33, b. PA, stone mason; both parents b. PA; wife Mary was 32, she & both parents b. PA; Cora age10, Edward age 7 & Melvin (or Maelvin)age 11 mo., all b. PA, Oliver Perry 24 & wife Delia 24 live nearby. Both b. PA. (Not sure how they might be related.) Josiah's father was Hazard Perry. His wife might have been Hannah. Mary Elizabeth's father was Everett Tylor. Mary Elizabeth was probably married a second time to Mr. Racklyeft. If you know anything about these families, I'd like to hear from you. Pat (Rowe) Stone, Rochester, NY
