    1. Re: [Tri-Counties] Fw: Lost Again
    2. Hello Charlie, You may have FOREST LAWN and WOODLAWN cemeteries mixed up. Try the Woodlawn Cemetery on the Tri-Counties web site. This is the older cemetery and has people buried here that were originally buried in the old cemetery in now downtown Elmira. Having a senior moment and can not remember the name of that cemetery. Sherry Nichols has done a lot of work putting the information on line last year for Joyce and us. I am not sure but I think she is still working on Woodlawn. You might also try using the search engine that is provided on Tri-Counties site. Use the PICO search engine and put in the last name you are searching. Hope you find your lost ancestors. This list I think was put together by an Aunt about 40 years ago. When I made an inquiry about a week ago someone sent the telephone number of the cemetary. On calling the number, I was told that the cemetary started in 1940. The list of burials is from 1882 to about 1907. In a newspaper account of the death of Elizabeth French on Oct 11, 1906 it says her enterment was in Forest Home Cemetary. Where do I go from Here? Hoping someone has an answer. Charlie French
