Hello List, I have a copy of the Jackson Twp. Lycoming Co map from the late 1800s. It shows a creek (I assume Lycoming Creek) and a pond with a school to the south of that. North of the pond is a property owned by Andrew Dennison and southeast of the school is the Reed school by the property of H. Reed. Can anyone give me directions on finding these two schoolhouses if they are still there? I'm trying to find where the Dennison homestead and property were. I also would like to take photos of the schoolhouses if they are still standing. I believe it should be somewhere near the Tioga and Lycoming Co border. Thanks and God Bless, Kathryn Yoder Cowher Williamsport Pa Researching: Yoder, Yetter, Moyer, Dennison, Benner, Naylor, Bertach, Schnell, & Crayton

Hi All, I have uploaded the 1888 photo of the Blacksmiths at the Old Union Bridge Works of Athens. You can reach it from the Business section of the Athens Township page. Of the thirty individuals in the photo, 28 are identified. Let me know if you find any of your "people" in it. Joyce M. Hi All, I have just uploaded the 1835 Wells Township Tax list. You can reach it from the Wells Township page of Tri-Counties Genealogy & History Sites of Joyce M. Tice Joyce M. Tice
Today in the (U.S.) mail I received a wonderful 1888 photo of the Blacksmiths at Athens that I'll get on site soon. I sent a thank you for that to Virginia Gross. I also received some Overton School photos and a school souvenir booklet that I will also get on site soon. I could not find Pat Hills email address, so I will thank her here for them. They look terrific. Joyce M. Tice Tri-Coun ties Genealogy & History Sites of Joyce M. Tice
Hi All, I have added two photo pages to the site in categories that I hope eventually to develop thoroughly. The first is an 1889 photo of "downtown" Roseville. It includes stores and other buildings that burned in 1890. You can get to it from the Business Section of the Rutland Township page. I also added a photo of the past masters of Friendship Lodge 247 in Mansfield dated 1928. You can reach that from the Organizations Section of the Richmond Township page. Both Rutland and Richmond are becoming showplaces of the variety of materials I'd like all the townships to display. I picked up the new car this morning. It is so clean and shiny I don't even want to drive it. I just want it to stay permanently undinged in the driveway looking pretty. My car salesperson's wife found his photo on the site, so they were pleased with that. That's All Folks, Joyce M. Tice

Thanks, Larry. You know, I am one of those "dedicated, serious " genealogy nuts..... and I search cemetery listings, read newspaper articles, look at Joyce's new car and STILL don;t see everything on the site. This is Joyce's fault....she just keeps adding and adding. I am going to go to the Barclay tour just so I can see Joyce face to face.....and if I don;t see her at the tour, I will probably find her at the ice cream stand (if there is still one open this time of year) on the way back!!! Hello, Do any of you have any info on Mary Jane Morrow, who was born August 12, 1873 and married Frederick Renwick Mitten about 1896. They resided in Towanda, Bradford Co., PA. When her husband Fred died in Oct. 1925, she was appointed to succeed him in his official position with Bradford County and thus became the first woman Sheriff in Pennsylvania. She died 22 Jan 1938 in Towanda, Bradford Cty. The most recent issue of "The Settler", published by the Bradford County Historical Society had some information on a Manley family in the East Canton area. I have passed my copy along to others, but the Society, at 109 Pine St, Towanda PA18848 may have copies available.
